2K a year 8 days ago 8 days ago 8 days ago POSITION SUMMARY The Public Safety Dispatcher provides dispatch services and customer service for Department of Public Safety inside Big Canoe.
The Public Safety Dispatcher is responsible for enforcing rules and regulations of the Big Canoe community.
The Public Safety Dispatcher must be familiar with the rules and regulations of the Big Canoe Property Owners Association.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES In assuring the overall safety and security for the Big Canoe Community, the Public Safety Dispatcher is responsible for the following:
A).
Receive all telephone calls and dispatch responders / officers / patrol as needed.
B).
Log all calls dispatched C).
Input all reports and call run documents into computer system D).
Monitoring the entrance and exit of all property owners, guests, contractors and delivery service via CCTV and assist with camera surveillance as needed.
E) Assist access control attendants by imputing guest / visitors / contractors passes into the access control software following approval by owners and/or temporary residents.
F).
Assist with gate operations if staffing requires.
G).
Keep the dispatch office clean and organized.
H).
Maintain a professional personal appearance and conduct themselves in a friendly professional manner.
I).
And all other assigned duties by the shift lieutenant or Public Safety Director / Fire Chief.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS Public Safety Dispatcher must possess a High School Diploma or G.

and have a clean motor vehicle record and must be 18 years of age in order to operate a motor vehicle inside Big Canoe.
Excellent computer skills a must.
Must be able to remain calm and multi-task during stressful situations.
Must possess the following abilities.
Ability to sit for long periods of time Ability to stand for long periods of time Ability to walk for long periods of time or for great distances Ability to exit or enter vehicles without assistance or difficulty and very rapidly Ability to hear well enough to understand normal conversation without voices having to be raised or constant repeats Ability to see properly or correctable to departmental requirements Ability to speak in a normal voice or in a raised voice (yell) if it is necessary Ability to use both hands and arms, legs and feet normally or without difficulty Ability to speak, read, write and comprehend the English language without difficulty Job Type:
